Ron Merrill, owner and founder of C&M Moving and Storage, was bored with the family business and ready to strike out on his own. After a brief stint with a moving company, he saw the tremendous potential in creating a specialized business; a Houston moving company that would cater to interior designers, furniture manufacturers and antique collectors. Mr. Merrill thought, “What if we offered a premium service at a competitive price?” The concept of ‘white glove moving’ was born.
In March of 1999, C&M started out with a rented van and two antique dealers that trusted them to carefully move their precious cargo.
